The craft beer industry is growing exponentially with new micro breweries cropping up all over the country, the range of beer that is on offer to the consumer has exploded and those who look for something above the ordinary now have considerable choice in the majority of good bars and restaurants.
Before being distilled, whiskey starts as beer, which is called a wash composed of grain, water, and yeast. Very much like whiskey, beer can fall into a number of styles representing different flavour profiles. So pretty much, whiskey and beer were meant to be together. In this tasting, we will be pairing a craft beer with a complimentary whiskey to show how well the flavours mesh with each other.
Hopefully, we will learn a few things about craft beer along the way as well!
