Know your bourbon from your Tennessee whiskey? Know your high-ryes from your wheaters? Your small batch from your single barrel? Your sour mash from your whiskey sour?
This month we’ll be delving deep into that other whisk(e)y—American Bourbon. For last year’s American tasting, we had a look at the innovations and experiments of the emerging US micro-distilleries. This year we’ll be taking things a little more traditionally and heading deep into the heart of Kentucky for a glimpse at what exactly makes that heart beat. Spanning a range of small batch and single barrel bourbons of varying styles, some of which you are unlikely to find on this side of the Atlantic any time soon. This should be a fun night for both fans of Dixie’s gallant spirit and those still waiting to be introduced.
We return to Brooks Hotel after 2 extended tastings for a more intimate affair so spaces are limited and early booking is advised.
Photographs may be taken on the night for use on the Society's web page and other promotional activities for the benefit of the Society. Attendance at the event provides the Irish Whiskey Society with the right to use any images taken on the night.
