What would you do if you owned a castle? Back in the 1960s an American, Mark Edwin Andrews decided to start buying casks of pot still whiskey and bottling them. These were all sold under the Knappogue Castle label.

Since then there have been many different bottlings from a variety of Irish distilleries yet all of them have carried on the same tradition of excellent quality whiskey. It is worth noting that while other distilleries were releasing only blends, Knappogue Castle were releasing single malts.

The Irish Whiskey Society is delighted to take an evening to sample the current offerings from Knappogue Castle.
