While triple distillation has long been associated with Irish whiskey, it's also a tradition in the Scottish lowlands, and newer distilleries in Kentucky and Canada have decided three's a charm. For our October tasting, Society members Liam Smith & Rachel Lindsay will be comparing blends, pot stills, bourbons and single malts to discover whether three is the magic number.
