• A talk and tasting by our own Eric Ryan, of Midleton distillery, on the history, production method and unique flavours of Single Pot Still whiskey
• A talk from author, Fionnan O Connor, about his book on Pot Still whiskey "A Glass Apart"

As we are guided through the individual stories behind each brand, we will explore each individual whiskey to determine the unique flavour properties provided by particular casks used in the maturation process.

Midleton "Dair Ghaelach" was recently judged as one of the top three whiskeys in the world by well respected whiskey writer Jim Murray in the 2016 edition of his annual Whiskey Bible, the worlds leading whiskey guide. This whiskey is quite special indeed as it is the only whiskey in the world that has been matured in Irish oak.
