It’s that time of year again! – When we throw out the budget, let our current president wow us with whatever whiskeys he chooses, and all privately rush to the booking site to be sure of a seat for the well-watered night of our annual (h)Ard Fheis. This is your final opportunity to bid adieu, or good riddance depending on your viewpoint, to Peter White who has been president over the past two years and welcome our vice-president Sarah Finney to the role. Peter has been working on this year’s line-up (which will include those Irish producers which weren’t represented in 2015) since last year and, along with a Q&A overview of the society’s progress and future direction, attendees will be treated to some of the finest uisce beatha he could lay his fingers on, this year and last. There will be up to 8 super quality award winning whiskeys waiting to be consumed in a blind tasting on the night.
If you have any questions, concerns, or even roaring demands, the AGM is the time to voice them as we invite all paid-up members to look inside the committee’s internal workings and offer your own opinions on the future of our shared society.
New this year in recognition of our different chapters, the AGM and therefore the tasting will be held on a Friday to make sure as many Members can attend as possible.
This is a members-only event but all fully paid up members from all society chapters are free to attend the pre-tasting AGM (19:00) free of charge.

We hope to start the tasting itself at the regular time (20:00) and it requires the usual booking and fee. When the AGM is complete, members will be asked to retire to the bar downstairs until the committee have set up the tasting witch will take 30 minutes or so. Both events take place at Wynn’s Hotel. Your committee hopes to see you all there for some rather special small ones.

Doors open at 7:00pm for the AGM and and the tasting will commence as close to 8pm as possible.
