For our next tasting, the Dingle chapter of the Irish Whiskey Society would like to welcome you all to what will surely be one of the whiskey tastings of the year, not just in the town but the entire country! This year we have been very lucky indeed to have had several whiskey ambassadors’ from Ireland’s distillery’s travel to Dingle to present their wares to us and for October’s whiskey tasting, we hope to expand on that theme. IWS Dingle are arranging to have some of them in the same room together and just to add a bit of craic and a further twist to the standard tasting format, are hoping that they will present each other’s whiskeys blind. In other words, they will not be presenting their own brands but those of the other presenters, without knowing just what it is they are presenting.
Some of these ambassadors are featured in the latest edition of Irish Whiskey Magazine and we look forward to having them explain to us just what it is that motivates them to do what they do, what their own favourite drams are and just where they see Irish whiskey in ten or even twenty years’ time. As usual, they will be open to questions from our expert audience and there are bound to be a lot of laughs on the evening.
