Our Dingle chapter has just completed a very successful first calendar year and in order to celebrate this and to say thanks to our Dingle members, we are holding a special tasting in the excellent surroundings of the local Dingle Crystal Workshop.
We will be tasting both whiskey & brandy on the night and will be honoured to have Paul Tuohy of Edward Dillon & Co. present some very special cognac to us.
From Cork to Cognac
This is an evening where we will explore the Hennessy roots from the south of Ireland and taste through some of the Hennessy range. We will also look at how Moët Hennessy has expanded and sample some of the finest Highland and Island single malts there are, as well as the now legendary and award winning society Marrowbone Lane. We will be focusing on the Hennessy XO and we will discuss how Moët Hennessy expanded into the Whisky category, quaffing something from the Highlands and the Islands. The Bras D’or is no longer available but we will be very lucky to have this presented to us on the evening.
The meeting point for this tasting will be John Benny's pub, Strand St, Dingle at 19.30 hours where we will be transported by minibus to the Dingle Crystal workshop.
This tasting will cost a nominal €5 for members and €15 for non-members but members will receive first preference.
NB. No cash accepted on door
