The Dingle chapter of the Irish Whiskey Society is preparing to welcome you all back to the town to savour the latest incarnation of the most interesting, enjoyable and groundbreaking whiskey tastings, not just in the town but the entire country! As everyone is aware, the past 18 months have been truly difficult ones but we are hoping that with things returning to a little bit of normality, we may be able to provide a little bit of light relief and entertainment.
IWS Dingle Chapter hope to have several of our industry's most affable, entertaining and knowledgeable whiskey ambassadors in the same room together and just to add a bit of craic and a further twist to the standard tasting format, they will present each other’s whiskeys blind. In other words, they will be presenting not their own brands but those of the other presenters, without knowing just what it is they are presenting.
We look forward to having them explain to us just what it is that motivates them to do what they do, what their own favourite drams are and just where they see Irish whiskey in ten or even twenty years’ time. As usual, they will be open to questions from our expert audience and there are bound to be a lot of laughs on the evening.
We may also be fortunate enough to witness Crystal Master Craftsman, Sean Daly demonstrate just how he produces those beautiful Dingle Crystal whiskey glasses.
We respectfully request that everyone adheres to all of the Government and other guidelines in place, and any updated ones at the time of the event.
If you feel unwell stay at home, you will receive a refund on request.
You will be required to wear a face covering (when not seated), maintain good hand and respiratory hygiene and keep to your assigned table for the duration of the event.
Before a customer is allowed to enter the seating area, the Proof of Immunity for each adult will be checked to verify eligibility, and checking your contact details for contact tracing before entry to the seating area.
Physical distancing of 2 metres should be maintained between tables. If you arrive in a group a maximum of 6 people may be seated together at a table.
You will need to remain at your assigned table for the duration.
Face coverings must be worn by customers at all times other than when seated at their assigned table and please maintain good hand and respiratory hygiene. Do not adjust any windows or doors that have been opened for ventilation.
When signing up you will be asked to confirm your name and number, for contact traching and to agree to the Dingle Chapter In-Person Event Terms & Conditions.
We are doing this to safeguard everybody's health and would be grateful for your cooperation for this event. Should you desire, you may also bring your own tasting glass to this tasting.
We would like to extend a very special thanks to both Sean & Adam Daly for hosting this event for us.
There will be a bus provided to bring attendees to the event and back to the town afterwards and this will leave John Bennys pub on Strand Street at 19.15. Masks will be worn on the bus but attendees may also arrange a lift to and from the event for themselves.
