Wine, Whiskey & Song
We've explored the particular and unique influence that particular casks can have on Irish whiskey in our November tastings before. This time we'll go both broad and deep into the world of wines' stamp on the spirit
Trevis Gleason of Bia Dingle and Orla Kenny from J&C Kenny in Galway will present an interesting evening of wine barrel aged/finished whiskey alongside corresponding wines from around the world.
We'll have both finished and cask sample whiskey as well as both pot still and single malt on offer. Orla is even bringing down a variation on the theme with a red wine aged in a former bourbon cask.
To make it a bit fun, we'll incorporate recordings of both wine and whiskey songs into the evening (don't worry, no party pieces required) AND, as a special treat in advance of the Christmas season, the wines we taste will be on offer for sale at a special price to attendees.
There will be a 3-bottle (mixed is fine) minimum for each order but we're sure you'll find at least three bottles you'll want around the house.
Payment will be taken on the night and delivery planned for the next week (thought there may be a few bottles available on the night)
