Irish Whiskey exports crossed the €1Bn mark last year. It's an indication of the industry's strength and the growth in demand from global markets. Beyond our entry-level blends and widely distributed brands, how is Irish Whiskey doing on the international stage? We were curious so we sourced some foreign exclusives, limited edition releases that you can only get abroad, and brought them back home for our members to try.
Aside from these fabulous whiskeys, the Society is also bringing back online tastings! We listened to members' feedback and know that some of you prefer this. We look forward to hosting our members around the country again and based on the success of this event, we'll hopefully conduct more.
This event will be hosted by social media personalities and influencers, Matt and Rose Jones aka @TheWhiskeyNerd and @rosethewhiskeynoob. They have been producing entertaining and informative content about whiskey and cocktails on Youtube and Instagram. We are also lucky to have Matt as one of our volunteers as he's part of our Events Committee.
The line-up is as follows:
JJ Corry The Bridie (46% ABV) - An exclusive bottling for Milroy’s of Soho and The Proofing Room in London, UK
The Whistler PX-Mas (46% ABV) - Released for the 2022 Christmas season and sold exclusively through retailers in Denmark
Two Stacks Cherry Brandy Cask Finish (63% ABV) - The first batch release of this variant of the Two Stacks Blender's Cut collection, bottled exclusively for the Netherlands
Bushmills 2011 Banyuls Cask (53.6%) - Part of the 2021 release of the Causeway Collection, exclusive to The Whisky Club in Australia
Teeling 13 YO Single Malt (57.3%) - A single cask release for WhiskyNet.hu in Hungary
Redbreast Kentucky Oak (50.5% ABV) - The first of the American Oak series, a USA exclusive
Booking opens on Wednesday 31st May at 7.00pm and there will be an option to purchase in-person and online tickets so please double-check you are selecting the correct one as the price for online is slightly higher to account for postage and packaging.
