Highlights of the Irish Whiskey Awards

Join us for an amazing tasting, highlighting some of the best Irish whiskey on the market today! Your society Events team have teamed up with the good folks at the Celtic Whiskey shop to offer a wonderful line-up of whiskeys for a tasting this January 25th.
Members may recall that we had the chance to be part of the judging for this year's Irish Whiskey Awards. While members may have not been able to attend the actual ceremony on November 29th 2023, we have arranged a great tasting to allow a peek behind the scenes at some of the best whiskeys on the market from emerging and established brands!
We will also have some of the Celtic Whiskey Shop staff involved in the running of the Awards in attendance to share some insights into the awards, the categories, and of course, the whiskeys! We have selected a great variety of whiskeys, across different categories, ages and styles, so if you want a chance to taste some of the best whiskeys on the market today!
The line-up is as follows: The Bridge - Galey Bay (46% ABV) - Winner, Single Grain Writer's Tears - Ice Wine Finish (46% ABV) - Gold Medal, Blended Limited Release Fercullen Single Malt (46% ABV) - Gold Medal, Best New Single Malt Jack Ryan 5 year old Oloroso Finish Cask Strength (57.5% ABV) - Winner, Single Malt 11 Years and Younger The Irishman 17 Year Old (56% ABV) - Winner, Single Malt 16 years and Older Dunville's 20 Year Old PX Cask Strength, Cask 1644 (55% ABV) - Gold Medal, Cask Strength
Booking opens on Friday 12th of January at 7.00pm. This will be a popular event, so please set a reminder to book on to secure your space. Join the waiting list to be notified as we might be able to get more spots for the event. It is necessary to register and complete payment via PayPal (within 15 minutes) to secure your booking.
