The Irish Whiskey Society is thrilled to announce our Rum and Whiskey tasting event. We will be taking a closer look at a spirit that has come out of the shadows with a vengeance: Rum!
Once one of the most important resources of the 1700s, rum had fallen out of favor over the 19th century. Recently, however, it has made a resurgence and now stands alongside the finest whiskeys.
This resurgence has inspired artisans on both sides of the still, resulting in impressive collaborations. These are the collaborations we will analyse to understand how these two spirits complement each other.
Our tasting will feature the following:

Two Shores Single Malt Finished Rum

Killowen Dark Rum

Killowen Rum and Raisin

Bristol Port Mourant 32-Year-Old Rum

Dunvilles Port Mourant Finished Single Malt
Additionally, there will be two surprise samples that are sure to highlight the great partnership between rum and whiskey.

Booking opens on Thursday 11th of July at 7.00pm. There are spaces available for offline and online tastings. Please make sure to choose the right ticket type. Join the waiting list to be notified as we might be able to get more spots for the event. It is necessary to register and complete payment via Stripe (within 15 minutes) to secure your booking.
