In February please join us Society for an exclusive exploration into the heritage and craft of Galway’s own Micil Distillery. We are thrilled to welcome their Co-founder Pádraic Ó Griallais, who will lead us through a deep dive into their range, sharing the stories and secrets behind their unique spirits.
Our selection features a fantastic mix of power, cask influence, and regional styles:
Micil Irish Poitín: The 170-year-old family recipe. Pure malted barley infused with Connemara Bogbean.
Micil Heritage Poitín: A peated expression using turf from the family land in Inverin—this is what "fuisce" tasted like in 1848.
Release 1: Micil Inverin Small Batch: A 5-part peated blend finished in Pedro Ximénez and peated poitín casks.
Release 2: Micil Earl’s Island: A single pot still tribute to Galway’s "Latin" trade history, finished in Bordeaux wine casks.
Release 3: The next big Micil release, coming to the market this year!
