Travelling the Roaming Road with Mike Gilmore

We are delighted to announce our March End of Month tasting, which will feature a very interesting lineup of hand selected, cask strength bottlings from Roaming Road Spirits, all presented by Mike Gilmore!

The tasting will be hybrid, with an in-person option in Wynn’s Hotel on Wednesday the 25th of March, and a livestream on the Society’s Youtube channel which can be watched on the night, or replayed at a time that suits you.

Mike Gilmore founded Roaming Road Spirits over 16 years ago, and spends his time on the road, exploring countless distilleries across the world. Quality and curation act as his compass as he seeks rare and remarkable single cask spirits, building relationships and connections based on a shared passion to ensure special and unique casks don’t get lost in a major producer’s blend.

For our tasting, he has selected seven unique spirits, which explore the differences that can come from different producers or different mashbills. These are all cask strength spirits, so expect big, bold flavours and plenty of interesting conversation.

• 7 year old Rye with a low rye mashbill
• 7 year old Rye with a high rye mashbill
• 19 year old Venezuela Rum made from 100% Sugar Cane
• 6 year old Bourbon with a high corn mashbill
• 6 year old Bourbon with a low corn Mashbill
• 6 year old Wheated Bourbon
• 10 year old Bourbon, exclusive to the Corkscrew
