We are delighted to announce our next June tasting, which focuses on the "World" whiskeys. Each expression distilled in countries, which are not usually associated with whiskey production.

We will have a chance to taste amazing expressions from Japan, Australia, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. We have a different presenter for each expression so we have a chance to learn about each one, the distillery and the history of the brand.

All expression are unique not only due to location of distillery but also the innovation in whiskey production or maturation. Some whiskeys we will try during the tasting are already sold out and unavailable to purchase due to high demand.

Line Up:

• Nikka Coffey Malt: Japan. This unique expression was developed in 2013 as a result of Nikka's continuous experiments to widen the variety and offer more excitements to aficionados. Made from 100% malted barley, whisky distilled in a Coffey still is matured in old casks to enhance the rich maltiness, complexity and a silky texture.
• Belgrove Oat Whisky Batch 5: Tasmania, Australia. Belgrove is one of very few Whisky distilleries in the world that grows its own grain, malts, ferments, distills and barrel ages on site. This Batch 5 is a blend of 2 casks, one previously held a Tasmanian Malt Whisky and the other a Tasmanian Pinot Noir. 
• Mackmyra Svensk Ek: Sweden. The flagship Single Malt Swedish whisky created using 100% Swedish ingredients. Casks coopered from Swedish oak create a more firm and spicy flavour. Svensk Ek is matured in Swedish oak casks.
• Stauning El Clásico, Denmark. Rye whisky and sweet vermouth have always made a strong line-up in the iconic cocktail Manhattan. The whisky has aged for three years on Virgin American White Oak casks and then another full year on sweet Spanish Vermouth casks.
• Bivrost Muspelheim Single Malt Whisky, Norway. Handcrafted under the glow of the Northern Lights, at the foot of the majestic Lyngen Alps, at 69 °N.The casks we used were ex Islay barrels (200 l), ex Bourbon quarter casks and some smaller Octave casks.

Booking closes on Thursday 17th of June at 10.00pm. The packs will be dispatched the week before the event so please book your place in good time. Please ensure to complete the event registration delivery form correctly to ensure your sample pack is delivered on time.

The event LiveStream will begin at 7:30pm on Thursday 24th of June and is for members only. You will receive a link to the live stream in advance of the tasting.
